More fires. We all know that South
ern California can burn anytime. There is also a fire burning in Northern California on the Eldorado National Forest. It is burning in an area that just received about 5" rain. It will most likely stop as soon as the wind stops.

Fires in SoCal will dramatically slow when the wind stops. In the meantime, heads up....be careful.

Sayr
e
(CA-LFD-1460) the fire has burned approximately 2,600 acres and is 0% contained. So far there are 5,000 residences, 500 commercial properties, and 200 outbuildings threatened. 100 residences have been damaged and at least 65 destroyed. High winds and low Relative Humidity are forecasted during the next 12 hour period. Sylmar is a heavily populated community abutting SRA and ANF, Olive-UCLA Medical Center, L. A. Mission college, Van Norman Dam, Holy Cross Medical Center, I-5, I-210 and the 118 freeway are threatened. The fire has already crossed I-5. Communication sites and other utilities are threatened.

Galve
ston has been having some decent weather. It rained for a few days, but now is blessed with sunshine. No threat of fire there. Just awsome sunsets, the smell of the Gulf....maybe a little mold and mildew. I am home for now, but will be returning to Galveston in a couple of days.

Stay safe eve
rybody.
