Good Morning Everybody.

Last night I watched a movie called "Freedom Writers". It was about a teacher who turned gang influenced high school students around. She created a writing assignment, where the students wrote about themselves. They wrote the truth about their everyday lives. They told about abuse, violence, living on the streets. The movie was based on a true story. Every teen should be made to watch this movie. If you ever think you have it bad and/or are getting dealt a poor hand in life...listen to the stories these kids write. If you haven't seen this movie, I suggest watching it. Very Inspirational.

Tomorrow I leave for IMT Workshop. I will be in Reno. Anybody who would like to come by and see the different kinds of businesses that contract with the government at wildland fires, should drop the Silver Legacy (down stairs) on Tuesday during the day.

Good Morning.

Last evening, we had our first vegetation fire response for the season. It was moving slow, but it was burning. With the right wind on a fire, almost anything will burn. In this case it was mostly pine needles. Light fuels, fire, wind...all a bad combo. That same fire in another month would have been a lot hotter and faster moving. Let's be careful.

It looks like the weather is going to clear up again. Keep in mind, folks are going to start burning piles soon. Some of those piles almost always get away from them.

Stay Safe

Good morning.

Not a lot to say today. It's a little cold and windy today. I really don't like the wind. I don't sleep well when the wind is blowing. I lie in bed and listen for trees falling. No trees fell last night, but I listened anyways. Hopefully the winds will be calm tonight.

The new web site is up and running....check it out.

I hope everybody had a great Easter. The weather was perfect.

Easter is the trigger point for Frontline Medical. Now it is time to get ready. All of the medical units are detailed. All of the outdated medications are replaced. It is alot of work. This year we are doing the build up on a brand new trailer. I think ya'll are going to enjoy it. It will provide for more patient privacy and a larger patient treatment area. The best part?...it is bigger and better...but we are able to keep it the same price.

Every week we are getting requests for classes. The schedule is filling up fast. If you are in need of a class, we will do our best to fulfill your needs. Whatever you do...DON'T WAIT until the last minute. But if you find yourself with a certification problem ....call me.

We will be doing the pack test two times in April. We will do a shelter refresh the same day.

All of the recently posted classes are full.

There will be a CPR/AED/First Aid class in Quincy California. It will be located at the Mt. Hough Ranger District. Space is limited. The exact date will be posted soon. It should be held in May.

The new website should be posted very soon. Thanks to Bigfish Creations. I think he did a great job. Be sure to visit his website for information regarding his services. The link to his website will be at the bottom of Frontline's Home Page.
