Good Morning.

Two days ago, we had about 8" to 12" of snow in the yard. Today it is gone. Of course, there is water everywhere. The temp is above freezing this morning, so what snow is left is melting pretty fast.

The dogs love it. The gophers have no place to hide. The water forces them to the surface. The dogs force them into a meal. It's nasty.

We are busy doing winter chores. All the outdated medications in the trailers are being replaced with new stuff. We are fixing all the little broken things. FL07 will go out of service very soon. It will be in the shop for a short while.

Here locally.... Longboard races very soon, skirt steak is on sale at the market, The wind is blowing today, opened a new package of french roast this morning, gas is .40 cents higher here than in Reno, Mohawk Cafe went out of business, the FurBall got cancelled due to a broken water pipe in the ceiling.

Have a great day.

Good Morning.

Here on the home front.... not a cloud in the sky. It is cold. The snow is not soft and mushy anymore.... it's crunchy.

Locally.... Longboard races.

These guys strap very long boards ( old style skis ) to their feet. They then slide a bazillion miles per hour down a mountain. The object of their little excursion? Oh... it's to see who can go the fastest. This is not a "normal" downhill ski race. No poles to navigate around. No turning. No jumping. Just speed. Straight down the mountain. They carry a big stick with them on their little trip down the hill. When it is time to stop.... they stick that stick into the snow... ya know?.... like a Fred Flintstone brake.

I thought about it. I had visions of victory!! I can do this. Finally! A snow sport I am capable of. I can be one those guys called "skiers". I could wear those fancy ski type clothes. I could be right up there with Peekaboo, Franz Klamer, ... all the greats! The crowds would cheer!! I might even get a spot on ESPN.

Then the heater pump in my hot tub kicked on. Ahhh! 103 degrees. Hot water swirling around. What was I thinking? Me, ski down a mountain? I say...nay nay! No boards on my feet. I'll stick to my winter sport of hot tubbing. It's much safer. I don't need a spot on ESPN.

Our very own Garvey says he is going to do this. He is going slide a bazillion miles per hour down that mountain. I might go watch.

Have a great day.

Good Morning.

Snow. Snow. Snow.

It snowed all day yesterday. Thank god it did not accumulate too much. Last night we got about 4 more inches on the ground. It is cold and wet outside.

No real news today.
Sammy is better. Chad is still a hippy. Chris is a hippy too. So is Lilly. Not too sure about Boyd....I've never seen him. Stench is not a hippy, but he drives a boat for a living.... almost the same. Arevalo still says he's "Basque"
(none of us are too sure). Diffenderfer is...well.... to low to the ground to be a hippy. Ponder lives in hippy country. Frazier is a hippy... I know it.. she knows it... she just won't admit it. Kelly's in Arkansas... No Hippy's Allowed.

Stay safe.

ps. Toaka says... "If I eat... let's see.. some brownies?... Does that me a Hippy?"

Good Morning.

We made a trip to Southern California recently. Thanks to Kevin Palm for putting on a Medical Unit Leader class. I see a tremendous need for new trainees in that position. We set up one of our trailers, so the student could see what types of equipment they will have available to them when they get an assignment. Other equipment contractors were there as well. Thanks to Michelle's, Expiditor's, and AMR. We all appreciate your participation.

We will be in Reno at the IMT Workshop in April.

The weather here at home is horrible. The weather service has issued a winter storm warning. We are supposed to get 2-3 feet of snow in the next 24 to 48 hours. We have fuel for the generators, the plow is ready, and the fire wood is dry. Let 'er rip. I still hate the snow, but when I travel to a big city, like I did last week, I appreciate the solitude of the mountains.

Have a great day.

ps. Toaka says.... "Oh boy, this is the way to plow.....(lying on her back, with the heater blowing on her)... hey dad.... pass me another piece of that beef stick."
