This morning the Modoc NF, Lassen NF, Northern California BLM, and Lassen-Modoc-Plumas Unit of Cal Fire are reporting new starts which resulted from lightning last night.

I was reminded yesterday, the recent story about "ken Hood".....well he says it really didn't happen to him. He says it was a story handed to him....that was handed from someone else....and so on. I say....what!?? When I called Tractor Supply, looking for a big fence charger....they said..."Like the one Mr. Hood bought?" I said..."did he buy it here?" The Tractor Supply Dude said...."nope....but he is a legend! Everybody knows about Mr. Hood." I smiled, because I really do know him. He has shared several "Hood Stories" with me. Every year, I look forward to hearing about his latest adventures. The Tractor Supply Dude says the story is true. He says they use the story for employee training. But....Mr. Hood assures me....it is just a story.

I think he just got a bit embarassed about soiling his britches. Over the years, I have heard many stories from him. All are just as funny as the next. For now, I will state...."It was a joke. Published for humorous purposes only. Mr. Hood you are free from the stigma of soiling your britches. I remind you ... there is nothing wrong with soiling your britches if you have a reason. I do believe that jolt of electricity was an adequate reason. However.....""it was a 'story'..."

Some day I will publish the story of the one armed christmas tree thief....and yaaaa'll...let me tell you... you can't drink coffee and read that story at the same time.... not without blowing coffee bubbles in your nose....you'll get kick out that one. When I first heard that story...I had to make him stop...several times...just so could catch my breath.

On a more serious note.... We have received several emails and phone calls regarding Darjee. Thank you all so much for the support. I posted a pic of Darjee on July 30. Once again, thank you for your prayers and kind words of support.
