CA-LNF-Hat Creek Complex - 11,000+ acres. This fire is all but out. Mother Nature did most of the work, by dropping rain on it and lowering the temperatures.

Mr.Hood is in the process of writing a book. The book will contain the adventures of Mr.Hood and many of his friends. It will share real life accounts of life in a fire camp. Some stories, of course, will be creatively elaborated....and told....only how Mr.Hood can tell them. Told with enthusiasm. Told with excitement. Of course, told with laughter and tears of uncontrolled comedic bliss. I am sure my name will surely be mentioned, as will others who have experienced a fire camp.

In fire camp.....funny things happen. Funny things are said and done. Practical jokes are always lurking around every day shift....hovering over every night shift. When you hear..."hey! Watch this!"....or... "Look at me!".... or ... "I bet you've never seen this.." .... something either tragic or funny is about to happen.

Stay tuned.... Mr.Hood's book will definately be funny. I'm sure he will be releasing the edition when he finishes with his new high voltage outhouse. His experience with his electric fence has given him an idea.....!!!!... Hmmm? ...a high voltage outhouse?...no need for paper? Hmmm. Anyways, more to follow.

Have a great day.
