108 degrees!!!
That's what the weather dude says. Today is supposed to get hot! Not sure if there will be any wind. I don't think the weather dude knows for sure if the wind will blow. It was supposed to be windy all this past week, but the winds never came. At least not here. The weather dude has had a tough go of it the past few weeks. He's been right about the temps.... but not the winds. I think he is thinking about going to truck driving school. No guessing there....just drive from point A to point B. If it rains...he could turn on the wipers. If it is windy...he could slow down a bit. When he is tired...he could sleep. No more standing in front of everybody at the morning briefing and guessing what the weather is going to do. When he is wrong, he must stand there again tomorrow and guess again.... in front of everybody. Poor weather dude.

The station fire has been contained. It won't be "out" until rain falls onto it. There are areas that we just can't get to. I am glad to see them think about firefighter safety vs. "put the fire out" mentality. It's just not worth injuring a fire fighter.

The battery in my cell phone keeps dying....sooo... if you have tried to call me..... keep trying. Some messages get through, some don't. I will return calls when the new battery arrives.

The AC just kicked on....here we go....
