CA-ANF-Station Fire

The fire burned deeper into the Pleasant Valley Wilderness. Angeles Crest Highway remains closed and is the primary access route for 18+ Camps/residences, numerous private residences, and the Mount Wilson Communication Facility and Observatory. The Mount Wilson Communications is directly threatened. This facility is a major communications hub for all of Southern California. The spike camp at Central Park in Santa Clarita continues to operate (FLM 04). Unified command continues with CIIMT 5, Los Angeles County Fire and Los Angeles County Sheriff. Los Angeles County Fire Damage Assessment Team continues their work throughout numerous communities assessing damage. The fire was active with concentrated areas of extreme fire behavior near the northeast portion of the fire.

The most common medical issues being treated continue to be poison oak and heat related illness.

The Station Fire Base Camp will be moving to the Santa Fe Dam tomorrow (FLM 07). FLM 05 and FLM 06 will take a break and get ready for the next fire.

There is a new tropical storm (Fred) in the Atlantic....we'll keep an eye on him.

Stay Safe
