Oil is still spewing into the Gulf of Mexico. Frontline Medical is still standing by..... with (4) four medical support units. Personnel are in place, ready to deploy. It seems there is a need for logistical support camps, but there is some confusion as to who has the authority to spend the money.
Hurricane season is here. A small tropical storm killed approximately 40 people in Guatemala. The storm broke apart before moving into the Gulf.
We will continue to wait.... ready to go.

We are still in stand-by mode. It seems BP is now saying the oil spill is worse than they let on. SUPRISE!!! The little tube they inserted into the big tube is sucking up about 5000 barrels per day. The video feed shows oil still spewing out of the big tube. It doesn't even look like the gusher slowed at all. Soooo..... simple math tells us..... there is way more than 5000 barrels per day bleeding into the Gulf.
The nasty thick stuff is now beginning to wash up on shore. It is getting into the marshes. It seems the "dispersant" they have been using, indeed breaks up the oil. It takes the viscosity away from it. Now it doesn't float. It sinks. It sinks to the bottom, where the currents and tidal surge can wash it UNDER the millions of feet of booms that have been set out. The booms will catch and stop the "sheen" on the surface, but do nothing to stop the methyl-ethyl-bad stuff that is creeping inland .... on the bottom.

We are still on stand-by for the oil spill. FEMA Officials have responded to the Gulf Region to assess the situation. There is talk they will take over command of the logistical support of the clean-up efforts. It is still felt we will be activated to the gulf very soon.

We are still in stand-by mode. The feds say this is going to be a long term event. We are all just waiting to see where the bulk of the oil will come ashore. Hurricane season is right around the corner. If a hurricane hits the gulf anytime in the next couple of months, we'll know exactly where the oil will be.
Thank you to all Frontline Personnel for sending me your availability.

We are still in stand-by mode. There is a lot of changes taking place in the Gulf. The oil that is reaching shore is only a "sheen". The thick stuff has not made landfall yet. I don't think they can tell exactly where it will make landfall.
Stand-by. I will keep ya'll posted on the happenings.

Eleven days ago, an Off-Shore Oil Platform caught fire in the Gulf of Mexico, near the Louisiana coast. The fire destroyed the platform....and it sank. The oil company has been unable to shut off the well head, which over a mile deep. Now there is an enormous amount of crude oil bleeding into the Gulf. The oil slick has reached the Louisiana coast. The winds are blowing out of the south-east, pushing the oil inland. Thousands of personnel has been deployed to clean-up the mess. The National Guard has been activated. The Gulf States have declared a State of Emergency. No request for a "Federal Disaster Declaration" has been made....yet. Obama is going to the Gulf today. A declaration may soon follow.
