We are still in stand-by mode. It seems BP is now saying the oil spill is worse than they let on. SUPRISE!!! The little tube they inserted into the big tube is sucking up about 5000 barrels per day. The video feed shows oil still spewing out of the big tube. It doesn't even look like the gusher slowed at all. Soooo..... simple math tells us..... there is way more than 5000 barrels per day bleeding into the Gulf. 


The nasty thick stuff is now beginning to wash up on shore. It is getting into the marshes. It seems the "dispersant" they have been using, indeed breaks up the oil. It takes the viscosity away from it. Now it doesn't float. It sinks. It sinks to the bottom, where the currents and tidal surge can wash it UNDER the millions of feet of booms that have been set out. The booms will catch and stop the "sheen" on the surface, but do nothing to stop the methyl-ethyl-bad stuff that is creeping inland .... on the bottom.
